Work: An Introduction

For many of us, work will be what defines us. The jobs we have and the careers we aspire to will indelibly sculpt our personalities, living conditions, and futures. But, as one part of society, the work we all do exists within a complex system of causes and effects, actions and reactions, choices and consequences.

The readings in this section explore topics related to what we do at work, what work does with us, and what we might do in a future without as much work.
